CLA-LA provides free legal advice at clinics offered on a monthly basis to all in need. Because there is only 1 legal aid attorney for every 8,361 potential clients, CLA-LA tries to bridge the justice gap by offering "urgent care" legal services. CLA-LA is able to do this by relying upon volunteers -- both legal and non-legal -- for every 1 lawyer, we look to 2 non-lawyers to help serve the community.
CLA-LA serves the most vulnerable in our community including foster children, homeless families, political refugees, veterans, and seniors.
